By bus – on weekdays

Regional bus 211 runs from Vejle Traffic Centre by Vejle Station to Jelling. To visit the Jelling Monuments / Kongernes Jelling alight at Skovgade by Vejlevej in Jelling. From here you walk approx. 550 metres.

 

How long does the trip take?

It takes approx. 20 minutes by bus 211 to Jelling. On weekdays, the bus runs approx. every hour (during rush hours approx. every half hour).

 

How much does the trip cost and how do I pay?

A standard single ticket to Jelling costs DKK 36 for an adult, DKK 18 for a child up to 15 years of age (2024 prices). An adult can bring two children under the age of 12 free of charge.

You purchase tickets from the bus driver using Danish kroner or Euro (cash, bank notes only). If you pay with euros (notes only), you will get change back in Danish kroner. You can withdraw cash at the ATM at Vejle Station (for a fee).

By train – all days

Trains run from Vejle Station to Jelling Station every day. To visit the Jelling Monuments / Kongernes Jelling, walk approx. 400 metres from the station.

 

How long does the trip take?

It takes approx. 13-14 minutes to ride by train to Jelling. The train runs approx. once an hour.

 

How much does the trip cost and how do I pay?

A standard single ticket to Jelling costs DKK 39 for an adult, DKK 19 for a child up to 15 years of age (2024 prices). An adult can bring two children aged under 12 free of charge.
