On this page you will find selected routes that are easily accessible. On the routes, you can easily get around with a wheelchair, walker, pram and more.

Nature is for everyone, and there should be as few restrictions as possible. On this page, we have therefore compiled an overview of routes that are easily accessible to everyone.

The Jelling Monuments

The route around the Jelling Monuments is 1.3 kilometers long. Here you can experience the monuments that are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The tour goes on pavement, dirt road and a small piece of cobblestone around the burial mounds. Also visit the experience center Kongernes Jelling, which is also wheelchair accessible, where you will get exciting stories about the Vikings and the monuments.

Børkop Mill

A nice tour in Børkop that takes you through Peder Breth park, past Børkop Library, Børkop water mill and around the mill lake. The trip is 1.9 kilometers long.

The path through the Peder Breth park is paved. The stretch between the library and the mill is a gravel path with some inclines, and it can be a challenge to drive through here without a helper. The path here can also be flooded by the stream during wet periods.

From Bølgen to Albuen

The trip is 2.2 kilometers and goes from Bølgen along the fjord through Skyttehushaven and out to Albuen Beach, a disabled-friendly sandy beach. Along the entire route there are beautiful views over the fjord, and in the Skyttehushaven you can enjoy an aviary with many brightly colored birds. The route goes along an asphalt road and hard-trodden gravel path.

Tour of Vejle's old town

The route here is 4.1 kilometers long, and takes you through Vejle's old town, where you for example come by Vejle Town Hall, Skt. Nicolai Church and Vejle Art Museum.

The route is wheelchair accessible, however it is recommended to follow the pedestrian street from Den Smidtske Gård towards Rådhustorvet instead of following the route through the yard to the roads Fjellegade and Blegbanken.

Tour at Vejle's harbor and fjord

The round trip here is 5.8 kilometers long, and takes you, among other things, around Fjordenhus and Bølgen.

This route is wheelchair accessible. But note that in the area around Fjordenhus there are cobblestones that are difficult to avoid completely. However, you can follow a small paved path from the bridge by the hotel to Fjordenhus. The asphalt is to the right of the small bridge, and runs along the edge towards the water.

Bindeballestien

The stretch from Vejle to the Ravning bridge offers 13.6 kilometers of wheelchair-friendly path through the beautiful Vejle Ådal. The route here is paved and car-free, and it is possible to park in several places along the route. 

On the trip you will, among other things, come past Haraldskær Manor and the visitor center as well as the area of ​​Vingsted and Ravning bridge.

Sønderskoven Forest in Vejle

In Sønderskoven Forest in Vejle, you will find paths that are easily accessible for prams, wheelchairs, etc. The paths are wide and with stamped gravel. In Sønderskoven you will find both a forest playground and a dog forest, and it is a favorite destination for mountain bike riders, who, however, primarily follow other routes in the forest.
