Bredsten Church
The tower of Bredsten Church with its onion-shaped spire pays homage to the Baroque reconstruction the church later underwent. The church is whitewashed with lead roof. Of particular interest is the pulpit, which like the altarpiece is of a grandiose Rococo design.
Bredsten Church was constructed in the 1100s and redesigned in the 18th century by Gerhard de Lichtenberg in the Romanesque, round-arched style where the choir and nave are constructed using travertine masonry and medieval redbrick. The most recent reconstruction afforded the church the Baroque style you experience today.
