Hærvejen

Hærvejen takes you past some of the most interesting places in Danish history. In this area, you will find, among other things, UNESCO World Heritage in Jelling, the iconic Bronze Age burial mound in Egtved, and the bridge that ensured the Vikings crossed the Vejle River Valley dry-shod in Ravning.

Bindeballe Købmandsgård

Bindeballestien

Bindeballestien connects Vejle and Billund, following the old railway line through the Vejle River Valley. In Bindeballe, you take a trip back in time, where the original merchant’s shop from 1897 and the station buildings from the same year still stand today.

Vejles havnefront

Coast to Coast

The Coast to Coast Trail crosses Jutland from the coast in Vejle at Vejle’s waterfront to the coast at Bålvandshuk. The hiking route must be the route of the river valleys. Here, the beautiful river valleys weave into hilly landscapes.

Rans Togt

Rans Togt is a village hiking route that takes you through 14 villages. The route follows the old country roads; there is no rush here, and the route winds through the landscape with detours along local paths.

River valleys, heath landscapes, and beech forests

Would you like to take a closer look at some of Vejle’s truly fantastic natural areas? How about a trip to Grejsdalen, which offers the popular hiking route Grejsdalstien, or Randbøl Heath, which blooms beautifully with purple heather in August and September? You will also find the wetland area Kongens Kær, where you might be lucky enough to spot the sea eagle, and Munkebjerg Forest, where you are rewarded with beautiful views over Vejle Fjord.
